OUR FRIENDS

These are some websites that we visit frequently:

Bob at MWR sells a great selection of nylon and leather military style watch straps, as well as many other tactical goodies. He also sells the terrific line of Marathon military watches, issued to the armed forces of many countries, including the U.S. and Canada.

The Military Watch Resource

TimeZone is a large site packed with information and many theme forums. Our favorites are the Sales Corner and the Japanese Language Watch Forum.

The Vintage Rolex Forum is possibly the best of the many Rolex forums. The members are always helpful and by far the most knowledgeable on the web. Their Vintage Rolex Forum is probably the best place to buy vintage Rolex watches anywhere.

Vintage Rolex Forum

3T is different from other watch forums as it focuses on the technical aspects of modern watch production. This is where you can learn about the latest technology of watches in a friendly atmosphere.

Time Tech Talk

Watchuseek's website has some great specialty forums too, including Pilot's Watch forum and Dive Watch Forum. We visit here regularly.

EOT also has several forums. Our favorite is the Ultimate Dive Watch Forum.

Equation of Time

We have had dozens of watches cleaned, repaired, and conserved by Jack at IWW. His work with luminous is as good as it gets. I wouldn't trust my vintage watches with anyone else in the USA. We also recommend Jack for out-of-warranty service on all our Corvus watches. Jack also does amazing custom work, such as bead-blasting, PVD coating and other cool stuff.

Make sure you take a look at his photo album of amazing vintage and modern watches.

International Watch Works

Toys McCoy and The Real McCoy are two Japanese companies that manufacture the finest reproduction vintage U.S. Military clothing in the world. Their A-2 WWII-style flight jackets are amazing, truly indistinguishable from the original. Buzz Rickson and Eastman Leather also recreate outstanding flight jackets. We like all these products very much.

Bill "Squinky" Mahoney's site has a fascinating selection of new and vintage watchbands and bracelets. Bill sells some of the best NATO-style nylon watchstraps on the web. He also is one of the only sources for genuine vintage Tropic and Tropic-style rubber diving straps. Tropic straps were sold in the 1960's as an optional accessory by Rolex for the Submariner, and were the standard strap that Blancpain sold with the Fifty Fathoms. Our Bradley dive watch comes on a rare vintage Tropic-style rubber strap supplied by Bill.

Peter Blinn is my web consultant. His work is the best I have ever seen, as Peter combines amazing talent as an artist and writer with superb technical skills and the inability to accept anything less than perfection. His Curious Notions website is a fascinating collection of oddities. It is highly recommended.
